About 10 Superlative Film Summaries

For years now, the video store was the way to get movies. The next generation it seems will be getting their movies from movie downloads, avoiding any trips to the store. Let's look at what you might find to watch using a movie download site.

Skyscraper Wilderness: Fred's a flier on leave who meets photographer Leslie; Benchley's supper talk, Astaire's "One for My Infant" and "My Beaming Hour" make this work. Cast includes Fred Astaire, Joan Leslie, Robert Benchley, Robert Ryan, and Elizabeth Patterson. (103 minutes, 1937)

The African UOD: Momentous Real-Life documentary is possibly Disney's best. Botanists Alfred and Elma Milotte filmed the African lion in his local dwelling through a year's cycle of seasons. Cast includes James Algar. The film is depicted by Winston Hibler. (75 minutes, 1955)

Dick Tracy: Big Boy Caprice and his mob are wreaking havoc on the streets of Chicago. Add to that, a loyal girlfriend, an orphan needing his help, being seduced by the sultry Breathless Mahoney, and a new threat in town know as the Blank, and you can see that Dick Tracy is a very busy man. It will take all his powers to save the city.

The Jacket: Following a vicious injury in 1991 when fighting in the Gulf Battle, cadet Brody returns to Vermont with amnesia. He eventually is falsely accused of killing a cop and finds himself in an insane asylum. Then he receives experimental treatments that produce flashback and visions of his future. He sees he will die in four days, now it is a race against time. Cast includes Adrien Brody, Keira Knightley, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Kris Kristofferson, Daniel Craig, Kelly Lynch, Brad Renfro, Mackenzie Phillips, and Jason Lewis. (103 minutes, 2005)

Light in the Piazza: Awesome soap in regards to a mommy who's distressed to wed off retarded baby girl however she isn't certain she's being fair to suitor. This was filmed on location in Italy. Screenplay is by Julius Epstein, from Elizabeth Spencer's novel. Cast includes Olivia de Havilland, Rossano Brazzi, Yvette Mimieux, George Hamilton, and Barry Sullivan. (101 minutes, 1962)

Send Me No Flowers: Hypochondriac Rock, believes he has little time to live, has Randall find new spouse for his wife Doris. Cast includes Rock Hudson, Doris Day, Tony Randall, Clint Stroller, Paul Lynde, Hal March, Edward Andrews, and Patricia Barry. (100 minutes, 1964)

Dinosaur: Disney tale of a dinosaur brought up by a clan of lemurs; while a meteor on a temporary structure however presents her with other tests-and options-once she comes to believe a junkie -turned-adviser Dillon. Better soar-on-the-fence filmmaking is anchored by Fanniga's extraordinarily truthful behavior. Cast includes Ossie Davis, Max Casella, Hayden Panettiere, Samuel E Wright, Julianna Margulies, Peter Siragusa, and Joan Plowright. (82 minutes, 2000)

Aces: Iron Eagle III: This movie is directed by John Glen. WWII vets join an upstart pilot and try and take down a cocaine factory in South America. Stars Louis Gossett, Jr., Rachel McLish, Christopher Cazenove, Horst Buchholz, and Sonny Chiba. (1992 Action)

Sphere: Floundered sci-fi fable from Michael Crichton novel in reference to a group of scientists from variant controls who are carried to a terrific-secret underwater site where the U.S. Navy has discovered a wreck. What does it imply? Where did it materialize from and while? Fascinating set-up leads nowhere, with progressively brainless conduct from the principals and ludicrous chapter headings that lend assumed supply to each new pattern. Cast includes Dustin Hoffman, Sharon Rock, Samuel L. Jackson, Peter Coyote, Liev Schreiber, and Queen Latifah. (133 minutes, 1998)
