Apple Makes Changes to Macbooks

By Eric Johnson

Apple started introducing the MacBook laptops succeeding their iBook series. The first MacBook laptop was launched in 2006 and there have been several models instigated since then.

On the Macbook, this means you'll have a lighter machine that's also structurally more rigid. The Macbook Pro also uses this same manufacturing method. So instead of that flimsy, thin aluminum that dents rather easily, you get something much more substantial.

The MacBook is the lower-end version, aimed at regular consumers. The MacBook Air is a lightweight offering which is extremely portable. The MacBook Pro is a high-end offering which packs in more power and has array of features.

Another key difference, one that is point of contention for many Macbook users, is the display. Current generation Macbooks use a glossy display where as the previous generation of Macbooks used a matte display.

The display is surrounded in black and encased in a sheet of glass. Those who prefer a matte screen might find this annoying. But I didn't find the glare to be all that distracting and in the end, the deeper/richer colors more than made up for it.

All MacBook Laptops are bundled with Apple's software applications and have been well appreciated. The popular software applications are the iTunes software, Safari and DVD player. A security software named iAlertu can be installed which engages your laptop securely.

Overall, the Macbook and Macbook Pro line has received a nice update. They both feel really solid and represent some of the finest notebooks available today. If you're looking for a notebook that offers a lot of bang for the buck, look elsewhere. You can buy a similarly configured Dell notebook for hundreds less. They won't have the really nice exterior casing, but the overall performance will be similar. But for those who prefer to use a Mac, this new line-up is hard to resist due to it's improvements and overall refinement.

The MacBook Laptops has a bundle of accessories with it to enhance its performance and styling. There is a stylish envelope-like carry case available for the MacBook Air. Host of extendable battery supplies which will help in working longer hours on your laptop without bothering to charge. The MacBook laptop cleaning products are quiet handy to keep the white colored model new and shining.
